XP Style Electronic Chip Icon

Creating Windows XP style icon for electronic chip
Start by creating a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool.
Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select perspective. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Create another rounded rectangle to create depth using rounded rectangle shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Ctrl+Click the layer thumbnail to get the selection. From select menu apply modify>>contract. Contract the selection by 2 pixels.
Create a new layer and apply a black to white gradient in linear mode.
Change the layer mode to screen.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select perspective. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Duplicate the layer and place as shown.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Enable add to shape area form the top bar and create another small rectangle.
Duplicate the resulting layer several times to create pins of the chip.
Select and merge all the pin layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Ctrl+Click the layer thumbnail to get the selection. From select menu apply modify>>contract. Contract the selection by 2 pixels. create a new layer and apply a black to white gradient in linear mode. Change the layer mode to screen.
Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Create a circle using elliptical shape tool. Enable subtract form shape area form the top bar. Create another circle as shown.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Select and merge all the layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.

Ornamental Plant Navigational Header

Creating a navigational header for ornamental plant site
Start by creating a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Fill with light gray color.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Create a new layer fill it with any color. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
From layer menu select layer style>>create layers. Select and merge both the resulting layers. Reduce the opacity to 20%.
Change the layer mode to color burn.
Create a thin rectangle strip using rectangular shape tool.
Duplicate layer and move to bottom.
Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Create a rectangle, a little smaller than the previous one using rectangular shape tool. Apply same layer style as we use for the first rectangle.
Ctrl+Click the layer thumbnail to get the selection. Select the patterned layer. Press Ctrl+J to copy paste the selection in a new layer. Move this layer above all the layers in layer order in layer palette.
Change the layer mode to difference.
Create a ornament shape using custom shape tool.
Duplicate, rotate and place as shown in the image below.
Select and merge all the ornament shape layers. Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Type link names using a nice font.
Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown.
Place a few ornament shapes above and below the link names.
Insert company logo and place it appropriately.

Creating a 3D Logo

Creating a 3D Logo

Start by filling the background with gray color.

Type “B” with a bold font.
Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select distort. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown.
Press Alt key and keep hitting left arrow key to create a 3D depth.
Select and merge all the duplicate layers. Enable lock transparent pixels from layer palette. Fill with a dark blue color.
Duplicate both layers. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select flip horizontal. Swap the color of both the layers.
Ctrl+Click the layer thumbnail of the alphabet layers to get the selection. Press Ctrl+Shift+I to invert the selection. Select the merged 3D layers and press delete. This will remove the unwanted edges at the top and bottom.
Duplicate layer. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select distort.
Enable lock transparent pixels from layer palette. Fill it with black color. Adjust nodes to create a perspective shadow.
Reduce opacity to 50%.
Type company name at the bottom of the logo.
Select a few alphabets and change their color.
